Ono Butter Mochi

👩‍🍳 Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.

  2. Mix wet ingredients:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggsvanilla, and milk until smooth.

  3. Mix dry ingredients:
    In a large bowl, stir together the mochikosugar, and baking powder.

  4. Combine:

    • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture.

    • Stir until smooth and fully blended.

    • Add the melted butter and flaked coconut, and mix well.

  5. Bake:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

    • Bake for 1 hour, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  6. Cool and serve:

    • Let the mochi cool completely in the pan.

    • Cut into small squares or rectangles to serve.
